AI raised the floor. Now raise the ceiling.

Eduardo de MaríaAugust 3, 2026

Using AI is rapidly becoming standard creative practice. That doesn't mean creativity is becoming better. It means average is becoming easier.

AI RAISED THE FLOOR. NOW RAISE THE CEILING.

The New Creative Standard — Signal 01

Using AI is rapidly becoming standard creative practice.

That doesn't mean creativity is becoming better.

It means average is becoming easier.

Everyone can generate. Everyone can resize. Everyone can visualize. Everyone can produce fifty alternatives before lunch.

And that's exactly where the problem begins.

Sameness becomes automatic

When everybody uses similar models, similar prompts, similar references and similar optimization processes, competence becomes abundant.

Sameness becomes automatic.

AI raises the floor of creative production while simultaneously putting pressure on the ceiling.

The new creative advantage isn't knowing how to use AI.

It's knowing what the hell to do with it.

The scarce ingredients

  • Context.
  • Taste.
  • Judgment.
  • Direction.
  • Culture.
  • Unexpected connections.
  • Obsessive detail.

And above everything else:

A fucking good idea.

The creative of tomorrow won't simply prompt. They will orchestrate.

Text, image, video, sound, data, interfaces, experiences and technology become materials inside one larger creative system.

Someone still has to decide

AI can generate the possibilities.

But someone still has to decide which possibility deserves to exist.

That is creativity.

And strangely enough, the more powerful machines become, the more valuable that decision becomes.

WELCOME TO THE AGE OF INFINITE EXECUTION.

NOW GIVE US SOMETHING WORTH EXECUTING.
